The Yorkshire Wolds Way National Trail celebrates it’s 40th Birthday on 2nd October 2022. The dramatic Landscape, stunning views, big skies and abundance of wildlife has been wowing visitors along the 79 mile route from Hessle to Filey every year.

Ian & Stef’s joint exhibition programme starts in September 2022

Bridlington Spa, 6th September to 31st October 2022
Beverley Art Gallery 21st January – 18th March 2023
Market Weighton Town Hall 27th March TBC

Working digitally Ian distills the landscape down to a reduced minimal. In this new body of Linescapes Ian has produced a body of work that take ’The View’ as inspiration. Whilst embedded in traditional landscape art this work also explores the language of abstraction.

Through painting and within the historical tradition of nature print Stef documents place and space. For this exhibition she has  produced series paintings, monotype prints and sculptural pieces which explore walking through the landscape. A collection of  artists books document sections of the trail. Follow Stefs work on Instagram – https://www.instagram.com/stefmitchellart
