A1 (M) – Eastern Gateway

An solo exhibition and ‘Arts Council’ funded Artist book.

Imagine the scenario, the planning & building of new motorway cutting through the heart of the North York Moors National Park. The idea being to link Thirsk and the A1 to the coast at Whitby.

The artist talk was promoted with ‘Planning Notices’ directing locals to the event. The exhibition included large scale vinyls, print on metal and cut metal shapes. The resulting 80 page book illustrates my thinking along the way.
